fab-five ; five-fact

* to whom it may concern : ignorance is bliss.

five random facts about this author :
( am I worthy to be called an author? gee... guess not )

  • Fact #1 : Drawing on my knees spurred my interest in art, I suppose.
I used to love drawing stuff, which I can't remember what, with a pen, on my knees, and getting my ears flooded with warnings of getting my knees skinned, even before pre-school(I guess).and what's funny is that there was a time I kept drawing SailorMoon(and others as well).PrimaryTwo, yeah...

  • Fact #2 : I'm a lover of books.
Throw me any reading material (exception - nonsensical, boring stuff), I'll read. I'll be very pleased to have a space of my own while reading, which leads to...

  • Fact #3 : I'm introverted.
I remember what I once said some time in March last year, that I'm afraid of crowds, even more when I need to speak in front of them.

  • Fact #4 : I find day-dreaming an antidepressant.
do not be surprised when you find me staring somewhere or at something blankly because, day-dreaming helps in relieving stress & fatigue, for me in this case.

  • Fact #5 : I was drawn to Coldplay's music since FormOne.
'The Scientist' - first song I heard from this British band - caught my ears, and that was in 2003. One time in school during assembly there was this EnglishWeek programme going on and they asked the students to guess what song is sung by which band/artiste. And I got kind of hyped up when I heard that. but I wasn't that into Coldplay until form3/form4. 'Trouble', 'Fix You' and 'The Scientist', they helped me get through last minute revisions and times when I'm not in the mood.
( anyway... I know it's ironic but do support the local music industry!! 'Pagi yang Gelap by Hujan is one of my favourites.)

was together with our youth group. and my buddy was here.

7.15p.m. - doors opened up wide for the public. you could've seen how they thronged in.

It's been almost nine years...

...since I last stepped into Petrosains.

It's been five years

...since I last spent time with two lovely, lovely friends of mine.

It's been a few months back

...since I last met them at the cinema.

It's been a week

...since I last kept in touch with an NS trainee.

And...

It's been four days

...since I last updated.

haha.

well then, here goes.

10th April, Thursday

11a.m.

sis and I headed towards SwatchShop to meet Xiowei. instead, she came from behind us and we both got a shock.

11.17a.m.

the three didn't know what to do since we've decided not to watch a movie. but still, we entered TGV and bought three tickets for The Water Horse, 11.20a.m.

1.15p.m.

movie was okay. didn't really like the creature. it's called Cruesoe, named after Robinson Cruesoe. it whines. ugh. went up to meet Carmen. and off we went for lunch.

about 1.30p.m.

Indecisive. the three who were in the cinema were frozen. there were less than ten movie-goers back then. then we walked into GenkiSushi, longing for a cuppa hot matcha.
Got to talk about the past. present. but a little of the future. We were all filled to our hearts', and stomachs' content.

stuffed

3.40p.m.

four of us strolled around looking for a place where we could just talk and have fun. we passed by Petrosains, a lot of times.
Somehow, somewhat, we found ourselves in front of the counter buying four tickets for four 17-year-olds. seven Ringgit each. and FYI we are NOT 18 yet.
the reception guy told us we have not much time since they close at 5.30p.m. and we're told that the average time spent in there is about 3hours.
We skipped the helicopter simulation anyway. It's boring. We knew it because we went there during Primary Three.

Going there at our age, is NOT a waste of time at all.

We experienced a Category One hurricane with wind speed up to 100 over km/h. Four persons fitted nicely into a cylinder-like chamber. All came out in one piece, but our hair was a mess.

Next, they have an earthquake simulation machine where we sit on a bench and experience 3 different levels of earthquakes : low, medium, and high. and you are forewarned, it's kind of scary, in a particular way. there's a light hung above the bench. and it swings, and swings about.

Nonetheless, there were lots to see and tons to be tried out.

supposed to see how many images are there when you adjust the mirrors to 90 deg or less. we didn't try though. Love this shot!

short, simple, sweet, Carmen's at the back, agh! Xiowei's still a bubbly character. love the way you laugh. haha. carmen's still as sweet as ever. I'll not forget we lost my sis and Xiowei TWICE. haha. stay sweet!

I can only jump 0.71 metres high. Those who think that Petrosains is only for students, make sure you eat your words back.

5.30-6p.m.

We're out. Went to buy some bagels home. Bought bread. And we parted ways at the LRT station. Xiowei took a busride home and Carmen got down at Setiawangsa.

love you guys!

This made my day. And I am tired.

Until then, adeus!

Been listening to Crowded House's Weather With You. I know it's a long time ago.

progress rep.

i Friday, 4th - Decided to take a trip to the CentralMarket area to shop for cloth ( a friend of mine needs to make an accessory ). there were 3 of us.
I stopped by Klcc to have my watch battery replaced. I thought, since I'm here, why not make a short visit to the PetronasGallery? Last time I didn't step inside.
MATAHATI - for your pleasure, offers visual perspectives from Malaysia's leading art collective.
The exhibits are, most of them, very beautifully crafted and painted, comprising a selection of works by Ahmad Fuad Osman ( his exhibits are unique! ), Ahmad Shukri Mohamed, Bayu Utomo Radjikin, Hamir Soib @ Mohamed and Masnoor Ramli Mahmud.
Didn't spend enough time there. Had to rush to meet the other 2 at McDonalds near UO plaza. Was content anyway.
Down the stairs heading to the Klcc LRT station, I saw this guy going rather slow ( or I was brisk walking ), so I overtook him and walked on.
While waiting for the train to arrive, I noticed that he was standing beside me. Didn't care much anyway. We went in the train ; he stood opposite me.

I was curious.

I looked at him ( not suspiciously ). Standing there, was my primary schoolmate, on his way to MidValley. a pleasant surprise. indeed.

Got down at PasarSeni and met up with Jolyn and my sis. had something to eat, went NagoyaTextiles and headed home then on.

ii Saturday, 5th - went to Kepong for dinner with 8 other church cellgroup members. stuffed. came back around 10.45 p.m.

iii Sunday, 6th - woke up early. had to be in church at 7.30 a.m. for a meeting. now sis and I will have to get up early every Sunday. leaders' meeting. sigh. slept late last night by the way.
aaaand..... HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DENISE!

iv Today, 7th - Sheryiin came over for a break from MIA. got to catch up for a while before she leaves for class at 1p.m. Class just ended and I drove (accompanied by mom) to fetch her. haha. It's a relief that MIA is near.
I've just received a letter from my alma mater stating that the AnugerahKecemerlangan will be on the 25th of this month and my sis and I are invited. : )

these are all at the present moment. Too lazy to blog further.
TILL THEN, bonjour and au revoir!

* here's what you get when you 'twist' / 'roll' crepe paper and tissue paper (not facial tissue!) into a string. nice contrast eh?

uh... it's best left unexplained.

I passed.

But I'm dissatisfied.
That I had no right to be given a pass.

( you'll probably know what I mean ) ... ( if not... never mind. it's better ignored )

Conquered the not-steep-at-all slope. The poles surrounding the parking bay are intact. Three point turn was a breeze. brr... and no extra charges, please...

Driving on the road is another story.

Panic deCulprit started it.

I refuse to explain further.

---sigh---

Nonetheless, it's over. Yes, it IS over.....
......finally.

Thank God... NOT for the extra dough one gave to another... but I'm glad no mishaps took place.
And I won't have to go back there again.haha.

No need to congratulate me... I'm fine with it. If you insist, go ahead. haha.

Until next time... Ta!

annie, dear annie...

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun! ( are you sure? )

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none! ( there's even more )

When I'm stuck a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh!

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow ( i might try )
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow! ( do I...? )
You're always
A day
A way!

* * * * *

tomorrow's D-Day... aaagh... God, I hope I'll pull through it all right...
never drove in the rain before. (so, don't rain tomorrow!) sis got to drive in the rain today. even while I'm typing this. And I mean HEAVY rain.

Okay... I should be logging off now... will let you know the results then!

Adeus!
