bomb-astik!

time is impatient. it's been almost two weeks
the fumes of garlic, one reeks
chopping leeks; repairing leaks
thank the lord, geek isn't sick!

in the bright daylight
ah! even in the darkest of nights
it's such a comfort they bring delight!

a tailwind, perhaps to fly a kite?

sixty days. to spend - many ways.
live 'em like the blue jays
gay, yet never astray

Alas! remember your outlays.

roadtrips, foodheaps
it's always nice to have them
with the best of peeps!

Seems like Year Two
for this here Ngoo
wasn't all
"Boo..." and "Goo..."

haha.

through trials and (near) revivals
I'm sure we will all prevail!
wail not!

with the Big Man
how can we be frail?

blessed, indeed.
no, I don't kid.
Here's to these quirky friendships.

Ridiculously serious.
Seriously ridiculous.

pasture beside still waters

27/5/2012 6:21pm
(Adapted from Bob Fitts' I Love to be with You)

You give me reason to breathe again
In fact, Lord, You make it possible

like a flower blooming in the spring
like the colours of an autumn leaf
like the sea and all its majesty
that is why I love to be with You

You whisper Your love in the morning
And You cradle my head in the evening

You give me reason to dance in the sun
After I have been in the cold

an antidote to the anxious mind.

future concerns and the want-to-know-it-all tendency.
it's already been paid for.
why the despondency?

Your peace, I ask.

the seventh-week-(gl)itch

shouldn't life be as carefree as floating in mid-air?
it's a choke hold here!

help me find the way.
the skies
overcast and gray
to make hay
while still bright
is the day.

even when it means saying nay!

oui!

Pavarotti, Luciano

You don't need any brains to listen to music.

but... I guess this varies when it comes to which kind of music we're listening to and with what purpose the music serves as.
what's the point of listening without comprehending? or should the quote be modified to 'You don't need any brains to hear music'? makes sense, no?

nevertheless, it is a totally different situation when we treat music as a tool to unwind, and just empty the mind of all the clutter. haha. and that IS what most stressed out people need, eh? : )

take me back to the good ol' days: Hillsong United's All I Need Is You

okay, got to search for quarterly figures for Proton Holdings Bhd. FA project analysis. aaagh!

min, signing out!

Diderot, Denis
Good music is very close to primitive language.

Ah! That's probably true since it gives you goose pimples!! hahaha.
Anyway... doing fine here in penang. Weather: a tad too hot apparently.

no lullaby la...

This feels more like a hey!-it's-already-past-noon-you-should-be-up-by-now morning call.
beautiful lyrics.
selamat malam - Faizal Tahir

Meanwhile, here's a soundtrack from the once famous Indonesian movie Tentang Dia.
very tragic.
tentang dia - Melly Goeslow & Evan

And then... the OST of Cicakman 2.
tragic, yet again.
dibius cinta - Melly & Yusry(of KRU)

Okay, last but not least, contemporary ones:
pagi yang gelap - Hujan
lagu untukmu - Meet Uncle Hussain
pari-pari di bawah angin - Meet Uncle Hussain

Bon appetit!

times when three equals to one.

indeed. pages of books do smell good. kind of addictive. well yeah, took three days to finish a five hundred pager, describing a day's events and misfortunes. I salute Dan Brown.
it is very true that books take you anywhere around the world, even to Timbuktu. some take you to extraterrestrial regions where your imagination roams free; others take you back to the 19th and 20th century during The Great Depression and the Industrial Revolution. you'd be amazed how hard ingenious criminals plan, months ahead, to rob gold worth billions of pounds in a train, or how terrible things can go wrong when a space shuttle's return carrying bacteria from outer space kills a town-full of people. sometimes even those whom you called dearest could plan your death whilst holidaying in an Oriental Express, without you suspecting they loathed you so much. impressive nonetheless.

a scene in Dickens' Hard Times. from a chapter:Starlight.

what matters is not only the joy of having finished reading something, but also the things you discover, insights you have gained along the way.

Until then, savour the scent of newspapers, magazines or novels whatsoever!
buhbye!

some not-looney-at-all tunes. this. and this.

it just snapped.

The Frames : Say it to me now

Feeling kind of mellow.
Like all the leaves turned yellow.
Wished I could just follow.
And not just listen to them bellow.

tundaan=tangguhan=pampasan

Sept 30th - sheryiin's ...

went to a place where butterfly-cut chickens are grilled;
caught up with each other and all were slightly thrilled.

and so they came over and stayed for a while;
took a picture and neighed til some went wild.

all is good, all is well.
what more can I tell?

early Oct - dad's 52nd, california pizza kitchen

this is the CPK-BLT

pasta and pizzas were good.
six of these brought up the mood.

nay! don't be fooled,
below par they are, and left someone's pockets in need of stitching,
however they make you drool.

all is fine, we had a good dine.
too bad there weren't any wine.

Oct 19th/a day before final exam - asikin's aidilfitri open house

this is what you will get from me when your house is open.
nothing expensive but it's our token
of appreciation.

Oct 14th - yvewei's eligible to watch all genres of movies

last but not least,

Oct 26th - taking photos during mom's line dance performance

exams are over days are quite sober, time to replenish, no time to read rubbish;
packed are the days that will come your way, till there's not an hour to waste.
Jenny don't be hasty's a good piece of advice from John Mayer,
but not till everytime there're things to do I'd say "Later".

all is well, not too good, not too bad.
problems there are, where doubts and sadness fill my heart's jar.

doors of opportunity will be kept ajar,
till I manage to find one that opens to green pastures and in its vastness roam afar.

until then, fellow comrades. am content to be back!
adeus! and finally,

be merry as we celebrate for light triumphs over darkness!
be of good cheer for everything's not lost!

in the meantime I'll drown myself in radiohead.

Farewell!

(an effect of reading The Two Towers)
