bomb-astik!

time is impatient. it's been almost two weeks
the fumes of garlic, one reeks
chopping leeks; repairing leaks
thank the lord, geek isn't sick!

in the bright daylight
ah! even in the darkest of nights
it's such a comfort they bring delight!

a tailwind, perhaps to fly a kite?

sixty days. to spend - many ways.
live 'em like the blue jays
gay, yet never astray

Alas! remember your outlays.

roadtrips, foodheaps
it's always nice to have them
with the best of peeps!

Seems like Year Two
for this here Ngoo
wasn't all
"Boo..." and "Goo..."

haha.

through trials and (near) revivals
I'm sure we will all prevail!
wail not!

with the Big Man
how can we be frail?

blessed, indeed.
no, I don't kid.
Here's to these quirky friendships.

Ridiculously serious.
Seriously ridiculous.

pasture beside still waters

27/5/2012 6:21pm
(Adapted from Bob Fitts' I Love to be with You)

You give me reason to breathe again
In fact, Lord, You make it possible

like a flower blooming in the spring
like the colours of an autumn leaf
like the sea and all its majesty
that is why I love to be with You

You whisper Your love in the morning
And You cradle my head in the evening

You give me reason to dance in the sun
After I have been in the cold

an antidote to the anxious mind.

future concerns and the want-to-know-it-all tendency.
it's already been paid for.
why the despondency?

Your peace, I ask.

the seventh-week-(gl)itch

shouldn't life be as carefree as floating in mid-air?
it's a choke hold here!

help me find the way.
the skies
overcast and gray
to make hay
while still bright
is the day.

even when it means saying nay!

the humble abode

a house which was once a home.
in the absence of contents dear to the heart.
leaves nothing but an empty, desolate shell.
who can tell?
there's no other place , not even Rome.
called home, only in the presence of the beloved.
a feeling no body can tear apart.

daydreamer

what a joy if one could just spend the whole day, doing nothing and yet be not bothered about all the hubbub and hullabaloo. boo-hoo!
fly! set sail! and drift away to neverland!
run free! like you're in the plains of the grasslands. a happy lark in the meadow-field.

ahem, that'd be too good to be true.
but yeah, pretty well looking forward to the breaks.
soon, soon. bearded baboon.
i sure don't want t'end up like a goon.

'Well, are you rich?'
'No, but I been rich wunst, and gwyne to be rich agin. Wunst I had foteen dollars, but i tuck to speculat'n', en got busted out.'
'What did you speculate in, Jim?'
'Well, fust I tackled stock.'
'What kind of stock?'
'Why, live stock. Cattle, you know. I put ten dollars in a cow. But I ain' gwyne to resk no mo' money in stock. De cow up 'n died on my han's.'

you got skin over your bones
yes, it comes in many different tones
you try to keep it all in
cover up, don't get yourself screened

perhaps find a place
where it spells comfort and solace
nobody sees, no man hears
not even the sight of your tears

alas!
just when you think
for a camouflage,you'd pass
your skin made of brass
exposed, bare
you're caught unaware
it's not even a proper snare

sometimes simple things
turn out to be surprise-things

sometimes feelings
can be quite nerve-wracking

and you know what, uncertainty can still be king

only You know
yeah, You know

escapade.

musings from a much desired break.

sometimes we fail to bask in the richness of life's intricacies.

sometimes we prefer to lock our minds in our own imaginary boxes.

sometimes even simple things can make you go 'ooh... and aah...'.

sometimes we need good food to fill up our physical (and psychological), tanks. no?

sometimes we may feel that there's nobody around to befriend you.

and when we're trapped; closed in from all four corners, we fail to look up.

pictures for thought.

paip bocor.

post-christmas syndrome
far away from home.

Never got the much desired rest,
but assured that He'll provide
the very best.

Wither the roads may lead, you wonder.
Alas! it is the little surprises that create that very itch to wander.

brick by brick,
as the mason does.

walk on by,
we walk on by.

yet, another reminder.

... that we really need to live life keeping in mind that
what we do will be the best shot we'll give
stemming from a heart of sincerity

and how our lives are shaped by our thoughts.

positive or negative

the choice is ours.

don't end up wasting your final breaths completing the I-should-haves.

do what you love, cherish your loved ones, and never stop loving.

splurge on good food with great people - occasionally,
take some time off. go sight-seeing. : )

love life and the moments in between.

frailty, life is.

Russian Proverb
A wooden bed is better than a golden coffin.

In loving memory of a friend who had so great a potential

to shine, go far, and be just as he is.

May your soul find rest in the Father's embrace.
And comfort, be upon your family members and friends.

magazine: ammo or literature?

well I've got both. haha

recently bought a Newsweek and a Time. (not cheap wei!)  Was reluctant to subscribe due to complications that might occur if I we're to do so, because I'd have to go check the letterbox every week! haha. Well at least we know what IS going on around the world right... I'm sure RM20 once in a while won't burn my pocket! That's for sure. It's never stupid to invest in things that's going to be your writing ideas :D

now, you might be wondering what about the ammo? well, let's just keep it as it is lah aight... they're buried six feet under. way.... down. haha. not good to get angry and jeopardize my blood pressure on a cloudy day when any other day is scorching, melting hot!
It's still raining here and hopefully it'll last the whole day lah!

convocation week is almost over and it's back to routine next Monday! ...agh! back to projects, tutorials, lectures(pun definitely intended!) and.... buses!(phew!)

gotta get back to homework.
g'day mates!

it just snapped.

The Frames : Say it to me now

Feeling kind of mellow.
Like all the leaves turned yellow.
Wished I could just follow.
And not just listen to them bellow.

drop that!

early thursday morning, jul 23rd:

somebody got up and went to the loo.
the rustle woke me up.
instinctively I reached for the clock right beside my pillow.
2 or 3 a.m.
great, not the time to get up yet.
gleefully and carelessly I slipped back into unconsciousness.

I had a dream. maybe a few in one.

hockey or football, I can't recall.
of being applied little diamante(or little pieces of accessories) all over the face;
and having to experience floating in mid-air and grooving with the music.

back and forth, back and forth.

then it all vanished.

there I was, or whoever it might be,
on a sandy place, strolling,
possibly.
holding some thing resembling a tiny crab,
disgust took over and made me cringe.

I smudged it.

the remnants got in between my fingernails.
quickly they were dislodged,
and I flicked every thing as far as I could.

yucks.

c r a s h

It was 4.30 a.m.
The sound startled me awake.

Frustrated after having to readjust the time,
I went back to sleep for another hour,
before the official morning call.

But still, it makes me laugh and wonder,

HOW COULD DREAMS MAKE ME THROW MY ALARM CLOCK.

eh?

head-scratchingly funny.

missed it !!

Well... seemed like I didn't clarify what happened to that Perodua Kembara right, folks? It's fine, only minor scratches on the left rear bumper. It's a different case for the Proton Waja though. Scratches and a (should I use minor?) dent. Door of the driver's side. Pretty bad. Anyway, coming back to the main issue of concern, the crash wouldn't have happened if I remembered my tuition replacement class that particular Monday. Yeap, it's Saturday today and I was listening to Mr G recapping last lesson's gist. Then came the Shocker when I was puzzled to hear unfamiliar sentences because I was actually looking at the previous notes I have with me (that was the week before last week's notes). Thought about being absent last Saturday and about planning to replace that class this Monday - which is the 27th, and got even mad at myself that I should've reminded myself regarding the replacement. Early dementia? Sigh... Ridiculous, I think I am... Don't feel like writing an essay now, so I request to be excused. EXAM in another 14 days. Here's to mortality....!!!

Gonna go pick some strawberries and perhaps make a bowl of jam. Come to think of that, I miss strawberry sundaes ...

See you when I see you, folks. Take care : )

Ja...j - j - jaded.

Indeed, I've been very very occupied. School's demanding towards the 6th formers. Nonetheless, here's a brief recap. And I do mean BRIEF.

The sun hid. The family gathered. The acquaintances ate. The birthdays passed. The routine began. The intensity heightened. The stress amounted. The eye bags loaded. The president got stuck(between the devil and the deep sea). The activities resumed. The trip(to the choc factory) settled. The remaining to be coming.

The time passed. The stress remained. The speech awaits. The tension increases. The terror haunts.

Yep, I have a feeling I've left out 1 or 2, maybe 3 or more things.... Anyway, Accounts test will be on this coming Thursday. Am a bit relieved it's only Cost Accounting, not financial accounting.

Easter is a month away. I'll post the details some time soon! Remind me to! Have been heading practices every Fri and Sun. School holidays are... just a time, a very brief one, to get your things settled and get some rest in the last 2 days. Agh, how I long for simplicity when some people just think that more is, well... more...

Pictures haven't been uploaded. And I know some one is still waiting for them. Sorry... I think it'd be a lot quicker if you just come over after your class with your thumb drive...

Okay, I'll have to stop. Got to stop. Thank goodness tomorrow's an off day. Have got printing issues to settle. And assignments to complete. Also, accounts to revise and exercises to do (after all the dragging...mann).

To the readers out there, heartfelt thanks goes to you who were patient enough to wait(and keep on waiting... waiting... Waiting for the world to change).

Until then, adeus! God bless! and goodnight.....

Sept 30th - sheryiin's ...

went to a place where butterfly-cut chickens are grilled;
caught up with each other and all were slightly thrilled.

and so they came over and stayed for a while;
took a picture and neighed til some went wild.

all is good, all is well.
what more can I tell?

early Oct - dad's 52nd, california pizza kitchen

this is the CPK-BLT

pasta and pizzas were good.
six of these brought up the mood.

nay! don't be fooled,
below par they are, and left someone's pockets in need of stitching,
however they make you drool.

all is fine, we had a good dine.
too bad there weren't any wine.

Oct 19th/a day before final exam - asikin's aidilfitri open house

this is what you will get from me when your house is open.
nothing expensive but it's our token
of appreciation.

Oct 14th - yvewei's eligible to watch all genres of movies

last but not least,

Oct 26th - taking photos during mom's line dance performance

exams are over days are quite sober, time to replenish, no time to read rubbish;
packed are the days that will come your way, till there's not an hour to waste.
Jenny don't be hasty's a good piece of advice from John Mayer,
but not till everytime there're things to do I'd say "Later".

all is well, not too good, not too bad.
problems there are, where doubts and sadness fill my heart's jar.

doors of opportunity will be kept ajar,
till I manage to find one that opens to green pastures and in its vastness roam afar.

until then, fellow comrades. am content to be back!
adeus! and finally,

be merry as we celebrate for light triumphs over darkness!
be of good cheer for everything's not lost!

in the meantime I'll drown myself in radiohead.

Farewell!

(an effect of reading The Two Towers)

monday punches!

George Washington said, "Let your heart feel for the affliction and distress of everyone."

finally you've returned...

how I've been waiting, and waiting for it.
watching you was the best thing I've decided since you showed up.
in fact, I don't mind watching you every day.
sadly, school stuff matters.
and I can only see you once every week.
Mondays, yeah, only Mondays.

you kept me asking for more. I know.

I've been watching you for the past 2 years.
nevertheless, that wasn't my regret.
and I'll never, ever let you slip past me,again.

you had me at hello, CriminalMinds!
